hike - mount aire - dogs and teens friendly hike - May 29, 2017
Mount Aire is a peak on the Millcreek / Parley's Ridgeline. Because the Millcreek Canyon Road is closed to general traffic above the Maple Grove Picnic area, we will start the hike at the Burch Hollow trailhead. We will travel on the Pipeline trail to the Elbow Fork trailhead. We will then hike on the trail that goes to Mount Aire pass, then to the Mount Aire summit. The hike offers outstanding views of forest scenery and the Wasatch Range. The trail is easy to follow, but there are steep sections. At the time of the hike, the trail should be snow free. There may be some mud on the trail section below Mount Aire Pass. Energetic dogs and teenagers accompanied by a responsible adult are welcome. The plan is to depart from the meeting place around 8:30 AM. The trip distance is for round trip.
