rock climb - echo canyon - eastern summit county - May 7, 2017

If you've got Conglomeritus, the only prescription is a fun day of cobble stone sport climbing. The Clint Eastwood Walls sits at the mouth of Bear Hollow Canyon on the East side of Echo Canyon. These walls feature a combination of cobbles and pockets. As this wall faces southwest, it receives sun for most of the day with the only shade being in the early morning. This area currently has over 10 routes from 5.6 to 5.11 making it a good area to take beginners. I am also interested in maybe exploring some of the other newer crags in Echo Canyon like Roadside Crag with its shiny new bolts. Participants must bring and wear a helmet. P.S., I will be asking participants to spend at least the first 30 minutes walking around with large trash bags to help maintain the area. Please bring gloves that you do not mind getting dirty.
