hike to lone peak cirque - update - October 7, 2017
Instead of just passing through on our way to the summit, let's linger a while and explore the amazing cirque that sits at the base of Lone Peak. It's still a grueling day, so come prepared for a good 9 hours or so. This is a designated wilderness area, so the group will be limited to 10 WMC members. My goal is to spend a long day in the mountains, but we will only go as far as it's fun. If we get to higher elevations and there is mushy snow and mud, there are lots of areas and routes to explore where conditions are more pleasant. Meet at 6:30 am at the Orson Smith Trailhead (12625 south highland drive). Call or email if you have any questions
