rock climb - anchor clinic - October 8, 2017

This clinic will cover building and cleaning sport anchors. Cretaceous Crag in Dry Canyon has a dozen sets of top rope chains for practicing building sport anchors, cleaning sport anchors, and repelling. Please bring your standard sport climbing gear in addition to a personal anchoring system and repel device. All participants will be required to use a PAS when building and cleaning anchors. All participants will be required to wear a helmet. A $10 donation is suggested for this clinic to help support replacing club climbing equipment. Cretaceous Crag is a short, 5 minute approach from the paved parking lot with a little bit of steep scree on the approach. The crag has routes facing mostly East and a couple to the West. This is the first rock formation you see on the right as you head up the main trail of Dry Canyon. Turn right toward the formation as you hike up the railroad tie steps on the main trail. Please RSVP so I can anticipate your participation and plan accordingly. Please RSVP if you are available to help offer instruction during this clinic.
