Paddling and backcountry camping in Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Lake Aug. 29 - Sept. 2. Drive up to Grand Teton Nat. Park on Aug. 28, and camp at Colter Bay campground. Begin the trip in the morning of Aug. 29. This is a Self-Support trip. Participants are responsible to have their own boat, camping gear, cooking gear, and food. A backcountry toilet system will be provided by the group leader. Water can be filtered from the lake. This is bear country so safe food storage is required. All camps have bear boxes for food, trash, and personal toiletries. A Bear was seen on this trip last year. You must be a strong intermediate or experienced paddler. This trip can involve wind, waves, and some short open water paddling. The trip is suitable for hard shell touring kayaks and canoes only. NO inflatables. A Wyoming Invasive Species sticker and a Grand Teton boat permit sticker are required. Group size is 6 total. Please contact organizer if you are interested.TRIP IS UNFORTUNATELY CANCELLED
