hike- gobblers knob

This is to offer a hike in the Salt Lake area on Independence Day. Several hikes to Gobblers Knob have happened earlier this season. I like to do this hike late June /early July to see nature's wildflower display. The plan is to start on the Butler Fork trail, take the West branch to the Desolation trail, then travel west on the Desolation trail to Baker Pass, then up the unmaintained but well defined path to the Gobblers summit. The views of the Wasatch along the hike are wonderful. Hikers familiar with area and want to do a shorter hike are welcome. Please remember the 10 Es. Water is critical. Lets depart from the meeting place at 0815 AM.
