wilderness study area (wsa) monitoring training - February 2, 2019
The WMC has been monitoring the 5 WSA in the San Rafael Swell for many years. With Google Earth the monitoring has become so efficient that all the efforts over the last two years have spent in remediation- fixing barriers, building barriers, driving signs and other fun stuff. More leaders are needed to expand this effort to other WSA's in Utah. I plan on covering basic Google Earth surveying for identification of problems. How to engage the local BLM office to support fixing problems and how to report.
