rock climb - high-angle self-rescue, part 1 (compressed schedule) - October 26, 2019

This is a clinic for high-angle self-rescue of teams. Due to the fall season, this series will be 2 longer days with a morning and afternoon session, for the typical 4 sessions to cover the 4 parts. Part 1 covers escaping the belay (morning), and ascending the line (afternoon). We will be moving locations between morning and afternoon, to get a better wall for ascending fixed ropes. Plan on a lunch break between the sessions, and each one will take around 2.5 hours for introduction and practical practice. Helmets required, and bring your standard wilderness load out. This is not weather dependent, so bring coats, hats, gloves, boots, etc. just in case. Those who have taken the clinic before and want to brush up are welcome, particularly to help teach others who are new to the techniques.
