day hikes st. george weekend wonder - February 13, 2020
Thursday or Friday morning drive to St George. Home with floors for pads n bags available on first come basis. Friday Valentine's day we do an adroit scramble called the Tulacahn Split for 4 hrs starting at 11 am having a very steep 1/2 hr begining. Saturday a 6 hr. world class hike called Mobby Dick starts early in the lava caves of Snow Canyon then an HR NW and the best of Snow is the 1700 ft gain over Red Mountain then down the Kyenta Crack. Sunday we explore the best of the Gala Trail, petroglyphs and the option of a non club 4 rappells into Johnson Canyon. Monday an early drive to Nevada State Parks Valley of Fire for another world class 4 hr. Scramble thru amazing geology. Leave by 2pm to drive home.
