day hike - reids peak & bald mt in the uintas - July 12, 2020
We plan to bag Reids Peak (11,708 ft) and Bald Mt (11,943 ft) in the Uintas, weather, conditions and situation permitting. While Bald Mt is very popular, Reids Peak is rarely climbed because there is no trail from Bald Mt to Reids Peak. This is not a long hike but involves class 3 scrambles. Helmet strongly recommended. I have an extra helmet if you want to use. If participants want to hike more, we can hike to other nearby peaks as well. Exploratory. Please bring 10 Es. The location may change depending on situations. Please email before Friday, 6 pm, July 10, for the meeting place and time. Registration is required. Registration priority will be given to WMC members. Registrants will receive more detailed info. Limit 8. COVID-19 protocols will apply.
