hike: santaquin peak via loafer mountain trail - June 20, 2020

LIMITED TO 6 PARTICIPANTS. 2 SPOTS REMAINING. Santaquin Peak is two feet lower than the summit of Loafer Mountain, but is the more visible peak from Utah County. 10,685 feet elevation, 11.2 miles round trip, and 3,536 feet gain. Be aware winter (snow) conditions may exist. Please bring appropriate snow travel equipment. This activity is also pending Nebo Loop Road being open. The plan is to hike to the top of Santaquin Peak and possibly also to the top of Loafer Mountain if time and weather permits. Drive time to trailhead is about 1:30 from SLC and I'd like to get an early morning start. As suggested by public health authorities, be prepared for social distancing, symptom questions, and use of hand sanitizer and masks. Additionally, this will be my first time hiking in the Santaquin Peak area.
