road bike: midday ride: u of u-capitol hill loop - November 4, 2020

These are short rides to give us some exercise without spending too much time doing it. Today's ride is sort of a repeat of one we did a couple of weeks ago, except we will do it in reverse, with a few other tweaks tossed in as well. This one heads east on 2700 S and works its way to 1700 E, then north to the University, entering at 500 S Guardsman Way. Next, it's through the middle of campus and on neighborhood streets to 11th Ave, Bonneville Blvd and Capitol Hill. From there, it drops down the west side to ride bike paths through Warm Springs and North Gateway Parks before picking up 400 W to head back south. The ride returns via 400 W, 700 W and Main Street. The climbing on this one makes it another candidate for an average pace of about 10-12 mph. Start time will be in the 11:30 AM -12:30 PM range, depending on temperatures. Registration is required. Group limit is 10. To participate, you'll need to be COVID-19 free, and will need to agree to the terms and conditions on the WMC liability release form. Email me if you would like to join us. I will send out the final details the evening before the ride.
