day hike: red butte foothills loop - December 12, 2021

We'll do an easy paced hike that will take us around the Natural History Museum of Utah and Red Butte Gardens, and give us nice views of the valley. We'll also get and a closeup look at Red Butte Creek in at least one or two places and might even see a fish or two. Since we'll be in the low foothills, this will be a hike rather than a snowshoe, but you might want traction devices. The trail is a bit steep in a few places, so those spots could be slippery this weekend. Overall, the terrain isn't too bad, though. We'll meet at 10:30AM (let it warm up a wee bee more) and start hiking at 10:45AM. This should be a good NTD hike for the weather and conditions predicted for this weekend. I hope you can come! One last thing: You need to be vaccinated to join us.
