hike west grandeur via dragon's tail - November 7, 2021
This is a very steep route to Grandeur (Average Gain per Mile is 1,518 ft.) that passes beneath the prominent bands of limestone cliffs that snake their way up the middle portion of the ridge, giving the appearance of a dragon's tail when viewed from the valley. There are a few options for the return route that we can choose from. We'll take a slow to moderate pace, adjusting as necessary to keep the group together to the summit.
