hike - dharma peak, american fork - September 12, 2021
We plan to bag Dharma Peak (9,237 ft), also known as Willow Canyon Peak, via Willow Canyon in the mouth of American Fork, weather, conditions and situation permitting. While many people probably have seen the peak, the peak is rarely climbed since there is a trail only for the first part. The off-trail part will involve class 2 or 3 scrambles. The last part to the peak may involve some easy rock climbing. Making the summit is optional. Those who want to aim at the summit should bring a helmet and a harness in case. Mark will bring a rope and other climbing gear in case. Exploratory. Please bring 10 Es. Please email before Friday, 6 pm, Sep 10, for the meeting place and time. Registration is required. Registration priority will be given to WMC members. Registrants will receive more detailed info. Limit 8. COVID-19 protocols will apply. Co-organized with Mark Maier.
