hike - - south cascade mt in provo - September 26, 2021
We plan to bag a rarely climbed Wasatch 10k peak - South Cascade Mt (10,760 ft) in Provo, weather, conditions and situation permitting. There are three possible routes (1) Out & back from Dry Fork TH on the trail all the way. 12 miles RT. 4000 ft gain. (2) Out & back via the Upper Pole Couloir route. Steep off-trail. Class 2. 4.4 miles RT. 3600 ft gain. (3) Start via Dry Fork TH and go down via the Upper Pole Couloir route. 8.2 miles one way. 4000 ft gain. We will decide which route we will take. Exploratory. Please bring 10 Es. Please email before Friday, 6 pm, Sep 24, for the meeting place and time. Registration is required. Registration priority will be given to WMC members. Registrants will receive more detailed info. Limit 8.
