road bike: short exercise ride: old mill figure 8 loop - July 29, 2022

This is a series of short morning rides to get some exercise without spending a lot of time doing it. Today we'll do a ride that takes in Brickyard Plaza, Wasatch Blvd, and the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon on its way out. Coming back, we pass the Old Mill on Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd and the Cotton Bottom, and use Holladay Blvd and 2300 E to head north. To head west back to the start, we mostly use neighborhood streets. The ride is about 23 miles with about 1100 feet of elevation gain. Use the link below to see a map and elevation profile for the ride. We will ride at an average pace of about 11-14 mph, so not very fast. We might ride the flats at 14-16+mph, but the overall average pace will be in the 11-14 mph range. Let's meet at 9:00 am and start riding at 9:15. I hope you can join us!
