road bike: short exercise ride: ssl-wasatch-cotton bottom - July 8, 2022

This is a series of short morning rides to get some exercise without spending a lot of time doing it. Today's ride heads east to Wasatch Blvd, then down to the Cotton Bottom and west until it crosses State Street. From there it returns to the start mostly via Main St. I call it the 'SSL-Wasatch-Cotton Bottom' ride. It's about 22 miles with about 830 feet of elevation gain. Almost all the climbing comes between the start and Wasatch Blvd. Once we reach Millrock drive, it's all downhill or flat from there on. Check out the link to the map of the ride to see the complete route and elevation profile. We will ride at an average pace of about 11-14 mph, so not very fast. We might ride the flats at 14-16+mph, but the overall average pace will be in the 11-14 mph range. Let's meet at 9:00 am Friday (7/8) and start riding at 9:15. It's supposed to be in the 80s by then, and it may even hit the low 90s while we ride. Should be a nice day for a ride, though, because it will be sunny, and we'll have a breeze to help keep us cool. Maybe 15mph, but hopefully not more than that.
