midweek hiking trail maintenance mt oly trail - September 21, 2022
Last year the WMC adopted the Mt Olympus trail, to love and to cherish. here is our chance to show our love. The nasty bit at the start has been replaced with a new switchback, but the old nasty bit is still being used and eroded. We will be partnering with the USFS ranger crew to "junk in" that old bit, and build buck and rail fencing at the top and bottom to discourage people from continuing to erode out the old ditch. This will be a fairly physical project, but near the road, so everyone can participate. Wear long pants and closed toe shoes, gloves, eye protection. bring lots of water. we should be done about 1 PMish
