mountaineering - red top (full) - May 21, 2023
Summit attempt of 11,378' Red Top via White Pine Trail in LCC. Participants will need an ice axe with leash, crampons, helmet, have comfort in snow slopes up to 45 degrees, know how to use an ice axe to self belay, and know how to self arrest in case of a fall. The group will travel at a moderate pace as needed to stay together. Safety will be paramount. If you're inexperienced or rusty we'll cover technique as we go. Exploratory. Expect an early start and a long day. Limit 8.
