rock climb: echo canyon - east summit county - May 21, 2023
Echo Canyon (near Echo Reservoir) is bolted (sport) conglomerate climbing. From Salt Lake City follow I80 east to Echo Canyon. After entering Echo Canyon take the first off-ramp exit (exit 169) and cross north under I80 to the frontage road (E Echo Canyon Road) on the north side of the freeway. Measure your mileage as soon as you turn RIGHT (heading east-northeast). Bear Hollow is 2.7 miles along E Echo Canyon Road. Bear Hollow has three distinct walls, more than 2-dozen routes, and 5.easy to 5.12. Participants must wear a helmet. Participants need harness, shoes, belay device, sport draws, and knowledge/experience of outdoor climbing. Please RSVP for meeting time.
