boating the little snake river - May 29, 2023
The LSR (Little Snake River) in NW Colorado is the largest tributary of the Yampa, joining with it between Cross Mountain and Deer Lodge Park, which will be our takeout. We will launch at the CO/WY border and raft/canoe/duckie for 90 miles. The LSR is a classic undammed western river with a short boating season, if it runs at all. Flows are great this year with the snow pack we have. Depart SLC May 29 and return June 6 with 7 days/6 nights on the river.
