snowshoe/hike - peak 8366, farmington - November 25, 2023
We plan to hike to Peak 8366 in Farmington, weather, conditions and situation permitting. We attempted this peak twice last winter. But it was not successful due to too much snow. There are two potential routes. The distance will depend on which route we will take. But it will be approximately 8 miles RT with 3700 ft gain. Please bring 10 essentials, micro-spikes, and snowshoes. Avalanche safety gear recommended (for practice) but not required. I have two extra sets of avalanche safety gear. It is unlikely there will be enough snow for skiing. Please email before Friday, 6 pm, Nov 24, for the meeting place and time. Registration is required. Registration priority will be given to WMC members. Registrants will receive more detailed info. Limit 8.
