payette white water rafting - July 2, 2027
Bringing back an old tradition 4th of July weekend on the Payette. This location is unique because there are 5 high quality day runs all within in a half hour drive of camp. Difficulty ranges from Class II to IV. You should be comfortable on Class III for this trip. The runs are appropriate for most whitewater craft from kayaks, IKs, paddle rafts and small oar boats. I have reserved a group campsite within walking distance to hot springs! You are on your own for all food and camping gear. BYOV (bring your own vessel) preferred but there might be room on a paddle raft.
To attend please email me. Include the vessel you plan to bring or if you want a spot on a paddle boat. If I don't know you please let me know what your skill level is and how much rafting you've done in the last couple years. We will try to organize some carpool logistics as we get closer. Life jackets required and helmets required for Class IV runs. The air will likely be hot but the water will be cold. Depending on your craft and tolerance for cold splash gear to dry suit could be appropriate.
