yurt ski trip and alpine ski tour: ymca mill hollow yurt - uintas - March 12, 2027

Join me for 3 days and 2 nights at the YMCA yurt in Mill Hollow in the Uintas off state road UT35: YMCA Mill Hollow Yurt

Maximum number of participants is 8 people and 2 dogs. Total cost for the yurt is $230 for the two nights and cost will be covered equally by all participants ($230/8=$29). Check in at the yurt is as early as 2:00 PM on Friday and check out by 12:00 PM on Sunday.

Distance to the yurt is 6 miles and 1500 feet gain from the Noblett's trailhead on UT35 in the Uintas: OnX Map from Noblett's to Yurt

Participants are required to bring avalanche rescue gear (beacon, shovel, and probe) and be familiar with using the gear. Participants are required to be able to put in the millage to the yurt with an overnight pack with food, water, and camp supplies. Participants are required to be able to skin and ski terrain at an advanced level. If I have not backcountry skied with you, please include uphill ability, downhill ability, avalanche training, and emergency skills in your RSVP email.

Skiing in the area around the yurt will be exploratory (I have skied other areas in Mill Hollow but not near the yurt). Jump on your favorite backcountry planning app (OnX BC, CalTopo, etc) and help find some possible lines.
