Annular Eclipse: Great Basin National Park
Seven people meet up in Great Basin National Park for the October 2023 Annular Solar Eclipse. We hiked Wheeler Peak for an optimal view on the path of totality. We camped for two nights on BLM land just outside the park.
We began our hike at about 5am in order to be at the summit by 8am for the start of the eclipse. Greg hikes the trail early in the morning with Wheeler Peak in the background.
