training - intro to clean aid climbing - August 22, 2026

This workshop is about clean aid climbing; directly standing on traditional protection to progress up the route. This is a useful skill for anyone looking to get out exploring the mountains on technical terrain. Helmets required, and bring all your trad pieces. Racks and aid gear will be available to borrow, if needed. Do not bring rock shoes. There is a $15 suggested donation to the rope fund for each workshop. We will have a short introduction and demonstration, and then break up to have people try out aid climbing on some short routes. Plan on a 4-6 hour workshop, so bring snacks and water.

Meeting Place:	Ferguson Canyon Trailhead. We will meet at the trailhead, but may have to park at the overflow in the park below. We can shuttle gear and people, if needed.
