snowshoe: mill hollow reservoir (uintas) - February 15, 2026
We plan to explore
Mill Hollow, Duchesne Rd
, off SR35. There is no set mileage or destination, and we will turn around at 1:30 pm. This will be an out-and-back tour, so all paces are welcome. We will be traveling on or under potential avalanche terrain, so avalanche safety gear is required (beacon, shovel, probe). The last time we did this route, there wasn't enough snow to slide, and with the current forecasts, I sadly don't see that changing. However, if it does, an alternate route will be chosen.
After the tour, those interested may stop at Mirror Lake Diner. Please RSVP via email, and I will share the meet-up time at Kamas Food Town. No parking pass is required.
This snowshoe is dependent on SR35 being open.
