rock climb alta - July 5, 2026
Single pitch trad climbing near Catherine's Pass. Will set up top ropes. Routes are 5.6-5.8. All levels are welcome. Wonderful place to escape the heat. Routes are at ~10,000 feet. Also great place to practice for new trad leaders. Meet at LCC Park & Ride to carpool -- we will depart from the Park & Ride at 8AM sharp to hopefully get a spot at the upper lots before they fill. There is an entrance fee for the summer road/parking. If line at the gate is too long we may pivot and hike from the gate. Expect ~1300 foot gain on the approach on great trail if that's the case, but about half that if we get through the gate to the upper lots. Please text me if you'll be there.
