labyrinth and stillwater canyons - 8 day - kayaking/canoeing trip - October 24, 2026
Calling all sea kayakers and fast canoeists for a prime fall foliage paddle on the Green river. It is 121 miles total for both canyons, plan to paddle ~20 miles and ~5-6 hrs per day, stopping at all of the sites. Using Tex's Riverways for a jet boat shuttle back to Moab ($215/person + $50-160/boat). Basic plan: camp at Swayseys on Oct 23 in Green River; drop gear, run shuttle to Moab, and start paddling on the 24th; jet boat pickup at Spanish Bottom (SB) on 31st back to Moab. This is not a float trip, intermediate and advanced paddlers only. Although technically flat water, strong winds can make this a hard class II+ paddling workout. 9 jet boat spots were available on Sept 24.
