From Guardsman's closure, we went up the road to the Outhouse switchback and then Scott's Pass and then Scott's hill. The snow was in spectacular shape, mostly. On hitting the ridge we were wallopped with strong winds and pelting snow and decided that discretion was the better part of valor so turned back and headed down, then did the Guardsman Pass road up to the connection to the power line. Rode down the slightly crusty section connection then followed the very wavy snowmobile trail to the road, and then back to the closure. Left 1.30 returned 6 PM. Estimated vertical 1500 ft, estimated distance 6 miles.
