| The number of climbing crags within an hour radius of Salt Lake is mind blowing. While most climbers were crowding the walls of the Wasatch, we decided to head in the opposite direction to the much less frequented Valley of Zion at the north end of the Stansbury Mountains. There are enough sport routes here to easily occupy a day and no other climbers to share with. The constant sound of gun fire surrounding the area even allows you to imagine what it would be like to scale vertical cliffs while fleeing an invading army. |
