| Throughout the year, I've organized a weekly Monday evening climb at the Front (6:30 PM if you would like to join). I tend to spend less time climbing and more time socializing and planning outdoor trips - hence this trip. A group of regulars from the Front drove to Snow Canyon State Park where we had a group camp site. On Saturday we were able to do a bit of climbing at Indian Wall and hiked out to the lava caves in the afternoon. That night a powerful wind storm rolled through. A jam-packed cozy little tent took the place of a campfire and we passed the time snacking and playing games. On Sunday some of us went into Bloomington Cave and spent three hours merrily crawling through The Miseries. The cave requires an easy-to-obtain permit from the BLM and is lots of fun if you like scrambling, crawling , and total darkness... |
