| Two of us (Frank and Pierce) made it out to the American Fork side of the Alpine Loop for some cross-country skiing. We skied up the road for four miles and then back down. This is a pretty easy beginner-friendly route with enough incline to keep moving on the way down but not so much to end up out of control. In the summer you can drive this road, but when it's closed in the winter you have way more time to take in the spectacular views. We got snowed on in the afternoon, but overall had a good day. |
