| Paul Gettings rang in his 50th birthday surrounded by 25 friends from the club's climbing chapter. His impact on our community has been nothing short of monumental. Over the last 20 years, he's organized hundreds of climbing activities - spanning spring, summer, fall, and even gym sessions in the winter. He welcomes newcomers with patience and mentorship, coordinates everything from skills-based training to after-work climbs, and of course is also a connoisseur of the food-and-beer gems at the mouth of the Cottonwoods. We all gathered to celebrate and sing to our friend, mentor, and all-around climbing legend - and to show just how much we appreciate everything he brings to the club. |
