| A crew of sixteen set out to celebrate Aditi's 100th WMC activity with a hike to Lake Blanche. The weather couldn't have been better for the 6.5-mile round-trip climb, which packed in more than 2,700 feet of elevation gain. Frost-dusted foliage lined our ascent, and when we reached the lake, its surface was partially frozen. Technically, Aditi wouldn't hit her 100th activity until she completed the out-and-back, but we still uncorked mini bottles at the lake to toast the milestone. The weather warmed up for the descent, which meant lots of slick mud, but somehow we all made it back down unscathed and smiling. Cheers to another 100 adventures, Aditi! |
