| A group of 11 club members enjoyed a beautiful day hiking the Miner's Trail in Emigration Canyon. We met at Rotary Glen Park, where I was so certain parking would be scarce that we packed everyone with Tetris-like precision into just two cars (only one person had to ride in the trunk). Naturally, when we arrived, the trailhead lot had plenty of space. The first couple of miles offered a gentle warm-up, and my original plan was to turn around before things got steep. But the group was feeling ambitious, or perhaps just easily coerced, so we pushed on to the ridge overlooking Red Butte Canyon. The climb was no joke, but everyone made it to the top. Afterward, a few of us rewarded our efforts with paninis and acai bowls for lunch. |
