| Nothing better than a sunrise hike for July 4, 2026. Tony and Sarah Brown and Anja Wadman camped the night before to catch the sunrise of Bridger Peak. Bridger Peak is the highest point in Rich County, Utah at 9,225 ft. It was an unnamed peak until 1999 when the SL Tribune ran a contest to name it. It was named after Jim Bridger. We hiked for 1 hr, gained about 918 feet in off trail hiking, watch the sunrise and ate breakfast. One of the more beautiful northern Utah hikes. |
