| I have been watching the weather forecast for this day at Brighton 3 weeks in advance. Every day I looked it changed from sunny, to cloudy, to snow and rain, and cloudy again, just rain and back and forth. I was worried it would snow too much and people would not want to walk the trail in the deep snow. Oh my! But noooooo..... the weather cooperated! although we did have rain mixed snow for about an hour but just before the party started. What a relieve! What a party! It has been a long time since we had an Halloween Party at the Lodge. And I fondly think on our beloved Craig Anderson who was the force behind this annual event he would put up with his own Halloween decorations. This is to you Craig! Our DJ Shawn Whiting put together a list of the most perfect songs for Halloween. Thank you Shawn! you were amazing, very professional and what a sophisticated equipment you have! This party wouldn't have been a success if it wasn't for the amazing help I got from the volunteers: Chase, Kayle, Susie, Teri and Tony. And also to mention the people who stayed to help to take down the decorations after the party, too many to mention all (also because I do not remember who) but you know who you are. AhAh!Ah! We had lots of laughs and dancing and joking around all evening long. We gave away 5 Target gifts certificates in 5 categories of scariest, funniest, sexiest, cutest and most unusual. At the end the give away of a Dutch Oven awarded to Debbie Olsen (our previous Social Director) and it was back again dancing and laughing and having a good time by everyone. Some people from Meetup joined us and that was good. I hope next year we will have double the number of people, I really hope this event becomes one to look for every year from now on. Spook you later! |
