rock climb - zu grosse zum scheitern - August 2, 2026

Climbing up in Snow Basin on good rock. This wall is above and left of the gondola. We plan to take the gondola up ($29 per person), and back down (4 pm or before). The approach from the Needles Lodge is around 20 minutes, and does have some steep grass and a bit of rock, so decent footwear suggested. Routes from 5.7 to 5.9+, mostly single-pitch sport; a 5.9 2-pitch bolted line is also available. Helmets required. Bring sun protection and water, as there is limited shade, but much cooler temps than the valley. Carpool encouraged, but there should be plenty of parking at the resort.
