snowshoe/hike- yellow fork canyon, herriman - February 21, 2026
We plan hike/snowshoe in Yellow Fork Canyon in Herriman. I have been there many times in winter. Even after snowstorms, it's mostly hiking because the area does not get much snow. So micro-spikes are important. We will carry snowshoes in case. Please bring 10 Essentials too. We will stay below 7000 ft. I have done all the routes there and can adjust distance based on the group's interest - longer or shorter. Avalanche safety gear (beacon, probe & shovel) is required. I have an extra set of avalanche safety gear - if you want to use it, please let me know. Please email before Friday, 6 pm, Feb 20, for the meeting place and time. Registration is required. Registration priority will be given to WMC members. Registrants will receive more detailed info. Limit 8.
