evening hike: fall colors timpanogus - October 1, 2026
We might be slightly below peak colors where we are hiking, but should have some great views of higher elevations. The hike starts about a half mile past Salamander Flat Campground at the second hairpin turn after the campground. The trail meanders on the North side of the road with views of Timp to the south. There is very little parking and a national parks pass is required, so we should meet at the location noted below. Bring headlamp.
