evening hike up dry canyon - September 24, 2026
Let's do a nice after-work hike up Dry Canyon! The plan is to hike the Dry Canyon trail to the Curly Springs trail junction, then turn south and wind up to the top of the foothills to reach a nice evening view of Timpanogos. We're hoping to be back before dark but bring a headlight just in case since the days are getting shorter. Parking is open and free, but the DWR asks that you get a free 'digital access permit' before hiking in this area since we'll be going into a WMA. Link to get a permit is here: https://ut.accessgov.com/dwrdonations/Forms/Page/dwrdonations/008b2762-ef20-47e8-9ae4-a69eceefc1d7/a98a6b44-ded9-4c28-91b5-6c1b9871742e/1
We're not sure how much interest there is in Utah Valley weekday hiking, so if you're thinking about coming, it'd be great if you could shoot me an email to let us know.
