day hike - deseret peak & more - September 6, 2026
We plan to hike to Deseret Peak (11,032 ft), the highest point of the Tooele County, near the cities of Tooele and Grantsville. I have hiked to this peak many times and would like to bag some sub-peaks as well, such as East Deseret Peak, Deseret Peak North Peak, Deseret Peak West Peak and Big Creek Canyon Peak. Short off-trail sections to bag the sub-peaks. Please bring 10 essentials. Please email before Friday, 6 pm, Sep 4, for the meeting place and time. Registration is required. Registration priority will be given to WMC members. Registrants will receive more detailed info. Limit 8.
