death valley winter escape - car camp - hike - bike - relax - February 27, 2027

Escape to Death Valley Furnace Creek Campground the first week of March 2027. Reserve a campsite or RV site at Furnace Creek, rent a cabin or motel...whatever you are most comfortable doing. The WMC has been escaping to Death Valley for 30 years! It used to be a big group event, complete with "cooking pods" and fully organized activities, and over the years has morphed into a week of just coming down to camp together, make last minute plans for road bike rides or hikes, or ranger led tours, or just sitting out by the pool relaxing. We no longer have the large group cooking set up, so everyone will be on your own for meals, although we may have some group breakfasts, to be announced. The one thing that's guaranteed is a daily afternoon 'happy hour' in Furnace Creek, where folks share stories of their daily adventures, and plan hikes, bikes, or other activities for the next day. Very casual nowadays, no stress, no major planning. However, if you would like to join us, and you would like to camp at the Furnace Creek Campground or in the nearby cabins or motel, you do need to plan in advance, as sites and rooms fill up fast, this is the prime time for Death Valley visitation...can you say Super-Bloom?
