| Hike To Heughs Canyon Waterfall - June 13, 2024 Organized, report, and photos by Irene Yuen Participants: Bret Mathews, Julie Kilgore, Jim and Kim Robertson, Mary Lou Thackeray, Elaine and Josie Mork, Karen DeRose Porter A total of nine hikers, eight WMC cubbies and a soon-to-be member hiked up the Heughs Canyon Trail to the first waterfall. We carefully traversed over a stable boulder field after walking across two bridges and reached the entrance of the thundering waterfall. After taking photos, we started our way back and stopped at the Brett Smith memorial via Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Our evening hike took about 4.2-mile and 2½ hours to complete. It was a great hike with approximately 1070 feet of elevation gained! |
