| What do you do if the ice isn't quite in yet? Go drytooling, of course! With mid-November temps dashing hopes of frozen fun, the group turned their attention to The Scrap Yard: A humble crag on the West side of Storm Mountain Island, where stone and steel were destined to meet. Ice tools at the ready, the team rigged a few top-ropes and got to scratching, scrawling, and skittering their way up the short overhanging face. Many laughs were had and many sharp pointy things were dulled. A few anchor improvements were also made while there, replacing a spinner bolt and adding a station to open up a new route. |
