| Supporting local races is a great way to give back to the running community. A group of regulars from the running group made it out to the Women's Epic 10k at Brighton to help make the race go off without a hitch. Some of us managed the aid stations, which started slow, got extremely hectic for 30 minutes, then slowed down. Others were course marshals, keeping the runners safely on track at key junctions. A huge thank you to the eight volunteers who woke up early and represented the club. After the race was over we went on our own group run through Brighton, passing several lakes before ending at the WMC lodge for the Oldtimers Party. |
