| Beautiful morning for a hike to Circle All Peak with Frank Bouchard, John Gould, Hong Duong, Jim Kucera and me. We had a beautiful view at Circle All Peak and calm conditions. John, Hong, Jim and I extended the hike to Baker Pass. That was a great choice, as we spotted some wildlife: several deer, ground squirrels, a chipmunk, and birds, including a green-tailed towhee. We also saw early spring flowers and one cluster of bright orange mushrooms. It was my first time at Baker Pass and observing the large swath of downed trees from the big avalanche several years ago. |
