car camp under the perseids meteor shower and hike the tushar triad - August 8, 2026
We will set up camp on Saturday and then hike Delano peak, it's a short hike 3.1 miles but 1650 feet. We will watch the perseids meteor shower at night and then do an exploratory hike up Mount belknap and its sidekick, baldy. There is a lot of scrambling on loose scree but about 5 miles and 2000 feet of elevation change. If there is smoke or thunderstorms we will change locations but not the dates.
